Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known by his stage name Wizkid, has been trending on social media over the release of his latest music video. Wizkid's 'Fever' had hit 1.1 million views on YouTube in just 24 hours of its release and its currently at 1.5 million views!
This is the second time Wizkid's video will be hitting a million views in 24 hours, which makes him the first African artist to achieve this. Wizkid set a continental record when his video "Come Closer", hit a whopping million views on YouTube within 24 hours and 2 million in 2 days.
The award-winning singer rose to prominence in 2010 with his song Holla at Your Boy followed by other popular singles. In February 2014, he became the first ever Nigerian musician to have over 1 million views. He is currently signed to RCA/Sony Music International.
