Unmarried women in the military service have blamed Ghanaian men for the lack of courage to propose to them.The women from Burma Camp and Michel Camp spoke on anonymity.
They indicated that due to their work as security agents most men were afraid to even approach them for good marriage.

One of them who shared their plight said, “You can move up and down the whole day and you will not even get one person to say I love you, its hurt.
“We are working for mother Ghana and not to put fear in anyone, if the men want us to beg them, we will beg them, because we are also human, women of course and not men.”
Another person also shared her view, “as a lady like me; I cannot get anybody to propose to me, I have been in the service for years but still am single.”
She added, when you are walking in town, you will see men admiring your looks in the uniform but ask me, how many of them are able to approach you for dating
