The international panel of experts of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) has nominated Kenya, South Africa and Ethiopia athletes for awards at the 2016 IAAF awards which is scheduled to hold in Monaco on the 2nd of December, 2016.
Of the 20 athletes selected from the six continental regions of the IAAF, Kenya has 4 nominations, South Africa has 2 and Ethiopia has 1 nomination.
Voting has since commenced and will end on the 1st of November. 6 finalists comprising 3 men and 3 ladies will be announced at the close of voting and the male and female world athletes will be announced at the award ceremony in Monaco.
